Recipe: Basic Spiced Chai Latte And SUPERFOOD Version
Includes Dairy-Free Version |
Well even if you don’t, I’m going to provide you with a yummy, delicious, healthy and vegan Chai Latte that you can make in your very own home. A Vitamix helps, but any old blender will do the trick!
The Basic Spiced Chai Latte
Ingredients:
✒ 2 bags of your favorite Chai tea – or looseleaf if you prefer
✒ 1 cup your milk of choice (Make your own!)
✒ 1/2 teaspoons vanilla (powdered or liquid)
✒ 1 HUGE heaping tablespoon of raw amazing honey (probably closer to two depending how sweet you like your latte and how generous a tablespoon means to you)
✒ 1-2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (if you don’t have pumpkin pie spice, use 1ts cinnamon and 1ts nutmeg)
The Process:
Steep the tea in about 1.5 cups of water for 3-5 minutes. While the tea is steeping, warm up the milk in a pot on the stove. (Boiling is not necessary, we simply want the milk to move from refrigerator cold to a toasty warm).
Combine tea, milk, vanilla, honey and spices in a blender or VitaMix. Blend until nice and frothy. Split between two cups, top with additional cinnamon and nutmeg as desired and share with someone special!

Why Whey?
Not all the proteins have equal benefits to our body. What proteins are made of has difference whether they do or do not work for your body, especially depending on your activities. Whey is a truly amazing supplement, because not only has it been proven to help you build muscle, improve physical performance, sharpen your mind, enhance circulatory system function, but it also has potent anti-aging effects.
Why Reishi?
Hailed in ancient Eastern medicine as the “mushroom of immortality” and the “medicine of kings,” you’d expect reishi to offer you some pretty astounding health benefits, right?
Your assumptions are correct. This prized fungus may be able to boost your immune system, fight cancer, ward off heart disease, calm your nerves and relieve both allergies and inflammation.
Why Maca?
Maca is a nutritionally dense super-food that contains high amounts of minerals, vitamins, enzymes and all of the essential amino acids. Maca root is rich in B-vitamins, which are the energy vitamins, and maca is a vegetarian source of B-12. To boot, maca has high levels of bioavailable calcium and magnesium and is great for remineralization.
It also can give you an energy boost (a great replacement to coffee) and is toted to help boost libido!
