Concerned healthcare consumer Jon Kopel provided me with links about the October 23, 2013 public hearing held in Long Island City, New York, regarding the proposed rule by New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and for which I thank him very much:
The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is proposing that the Board of Health amend Articles 43 and 47 of the New York City Health Code to require that children under five (5) years of age receive an annual influenza vaccination and be immunized against pneumococcal disease.
Pneumococcal disease immunization
The Department is also requesting that the Board amend Health Code §§43.17(a)(2) and 47.25(a)(2) to add “pneumococcal disease” to the list of required immunizations. This immunization, which is required by Public Health Law §2164(2), was inadvertently omitted from these sections. The Influenza vaccination section in the hearing notice dispenses apparent misleading information regarding flu vaccines/vaccinations, which undoubtedly represents parroted vaccinology spin.
For factual information about flu vaccines effectiveness, I recommend checking out the The Cochrane Library and its unbiased, no-vested-interest data. Some excellent sources to read to understand the apparent misinformation about vaccines and influenza vaccines, in particular, are:
- Influenza: Evidence from Cochrane Reviews http://www.thecochranelibrary.com/details/collection/978807/Influenza-evidence-from-Cochrane-Reviews.html
- Cochrane Summaries: Vaccines to prevent influenza in healthy adults http://summaries.cochrane.org/CD001269/vaccines-to-prevent-influenza-in-healthy-adults Note that it states: “At best, vaccines might be effective against only influenza A and B, which represent about 10% of all circulating viruses.”
- Cochrane Summaries: Vaccines for preventing influenza in healthy children http://summaries.cochrane.org/CD004879/vaccines-for-preventing-influenza-in-healthy-children states, “In children under the age of two, the efficacy of inactivated vaccine was similar to placebo. It was not possible to analyse the safety of vaccines from the studies due to the lack of standardisation in the information given, but very little information was found on the safety of inactivated vaccines, the most commonly used vaccine in young children.”

Note that “In 2007, approximately 8 percent of children ages 5 to 17 were reported by parents to have activity limitation due to at least one chronic illness or disability.” Isn’t that the age group that is targeted to be vaccinated to reach what is called “herd immunity” status by federal health agencies? It’s now 2013. What are those figures for 6 years later and more vaccines mandated?
D. UPI Health News: As of 2012, “90 percent or more” of children about 3 years of age were vaccinated.
E. GAIA Health / Study Finds that the Average Child Is Now Chronically Sick (Source)To summarize what was the apparent mood of that Long Island City hearing, please listen to the presentation made by a concerned healthcare consumer:
The well-informed gentleman’s presentation ought to indicate to everyone just how concerned parents, grandparents, and citizens are – and should be – about vaccinating children with all sorts of neurotoxins, toxic chemicals, foreign DNA, etc., and probable unknown viruses that lurk in animal tissues used in vaccines, as proven over the years, and which I discuss in my new book Vaccination Voodoo, What YOU Don’t Know About Vaccines available on Amazon.com.
